His ground speed in the corn is pretty amazing, especially considering how big his header is. The standing water in beans means they were probably wet coming off. That was huge straight cut header as well. That is certainly a lot of combine. I would like to have seen them get the combine out of the mud hole. Nothing like pulling on a 300K machine to get it out of the mud.

There is a guy around here (owner of Roberts Pulling team) that has two 2388 combines and an 8010. One of my buddies in the crew said it will run a good 5mph in corn no problem.

lol, now that is funny. I like red and green both. I have been around both a good bit. I hope to get some pics of all three 580 Cat combines in the field next fall and some pics of all the Deere combines.

That 8630 did not even budge that combine. There is times it is better to spend money to have some one dig ya out. I have seen combines tore apart because of this crazy stuff.

For the CAT lovers heres a pic of one of some friends of mine. A mean machine. They run a forty foot grain head on this.

Are those 20" corn rows ,surly with that size head and many rows i would think it is.

There are a few going to 20" rows here, but not many, more up north then here where i live.

I would hate to meet him roading it down the road with that head on.Like they try doing here.:usflag:

Maybe it's a bean head .Clarify please !

JB1, I don't see the pic. Can you try again. Construct'O are you talking about the video with the Case IH combine? If so, it is a 12-row 30" corn head. They are very, very, common here. The three Cat combines that will be in our fields next year have 40' bean heads on them. They make a 16-row 30" corn head now for the Cat combines.

Cool, is that the 590 or 580 R? We are going to have three 580 R's in the field next fall with 40' bean heads. They are a beast. Oh, by the way construct'O that is a 16' row 30" corn head. You can buy that size aftermarket but Cat/Claas is the only mfr that has one.
