i have a 6.5ft shortbed. do you think in can buy a used ez dumper and cut it down to fit my bed length? i have acess to a welder and cutter. i can weld pretty good with stick and mig . any ideas im on a tight budget and its either sell my trailer and buy a dump trailer or spend around $600-1000 on a used dumper and shorten it. im sick of shoveling loads out. thanks

Why cut an 8 foot down when you can buy a 6 foot insert.

I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find one for sale.

How about you give me a good deal on your trailer and you can put that money towards buying an 8 ft dump insert

I cut down an 8 foot ez dumper a few years ago to fit a 2500 hd ext cab short bed. it was a lot of work. i cut it from the front about a foot back. The only problem was once in a while you had to give it a hand to come down . I was just going to change the hydraulic pump to a double action pump power up and down. If you can get a good deal on one i would say try it. let me know if I can help you at all.
