Im trying to bill some accounts for maintenance only, do they get taxed??? any info on this subject will be greatly appreciated. thanks

In GA you don't tax labor, I don't know how it is in FLA.

For labor only, I don't think you put sales tax on that !!

it varies by state, but there is no sales tax on labor here in FL.

Your gonna have to check with your State office (revenue dept.) In Pa this is the worst industry to figure out. We can tax labor on most things but its stupid stuff like no tax on mulch if we deliver AND spread it but we can charge tax if we just deliver it, and many other wierd things like that.

lawnshark ... If you have established yourself with a tax collection agency in your state, then they should be providing you with all the details on what is to be taxed, or not taxed. Most likely, you need a license to collect tax. When you got your license, you should have received all the necessary information to answer your question. If you are collecting tax, and haven't yet applied for a license, then you need to step back one step and resolve that matter before attempting to get an answer to your question.

My buddy in Wi has to ay tax on labor, I think it is just another tax that fuels pork, but what do i know?

i live right smack on the idaho/washington border. no tax on service in idaho, but there is tax on service in washington. what a pain:hammerhead:
