Hey guys i am in the market for a trimmer rack and i am just trying to see whats the best to support and not damage my trimmer. I have been looking at the Xtreme Rack from Green Touch, The jungle jim rack, and trimmer traps rack. Which one is the best for my money?

How many trimmers are you needing to hold at one time?

PM me if you can.

Here's a recent Thread on the same topic: http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=209525.

I've tried others but none compare to the new Extreme trimmer racks by Green Touch Industries IMO. Go to http://trailerracks.com for more info.

This question has been answered many times before. Do your own due diligence. Many racks provide little actual security and almost all can be foiled with enough time and the right tools. Just how hard do you want to make it for thieves?

I agree with Rob7233. I started with the Jungle Jim rack but the shaft on my edger broke right where it touches the Jungle Jim rack. Coincidence? I don't think so. I switched to the Extreme rack and so far after 6 months of use I love it.

I have this one and with 3-4 years service its holding up fine...nicest feature I like is that you cant put the trimmer in the rack and drive off and loose it....if you dont latch it soon as it goes in ....it falls out...great rack for the $$$$ and now the new ones are vinyl coated

I got the same one and I wondered if I made a mistake because it was not a "big name/high price rack" I'm glad to see yours is holding up....makes me feel better about mine.:weightlifter:

I too have a Jungle Jim's 3 slot rack with the tool caddy that bolts between them. At first I thought they were great as the trimmers did not rotate. With time however they started to lose clamping ability and the vinyl covers on the retaining hooks wore through. I don't want to tighten the grip anymore for fear of breaking shafts like one member here had happen. I'm am still looking for a unit that will hold the power head in box like configuration and eliminate spinning and take the stress off the shaft. Might have to make my own design if I can't find what I want. The JJ is a decent product I just think we could use a better overall design.:usflag::usflag::usflag:
