Do you mean to buy trailer loads of mulch from a grinder and then re-sell smaller amounts to retail buyers? If you have space in your yard to do this, and a loader to fill trucks, yes , it can be profitable. It depends on where in your area you can get product at a good price, and how much demand there is at the retail level. A few years ago I sold mulch and soil for my friend's company. Wholesale prices then were about $10-11 p/yd, and retailers were selling it for about $19-23. Some of our bigger customers would take several tractor trailer loads per day in peak season.

Try locating the companies that sell the tub grinders, see who has the equipment in your area, etc. Try tracking that way, when I was looking at selling firewood, multitec was very helpful.

There is a place just across the Kentucky line that makes alot of mulch. if you go north on 27 past Oneida Tn into Ky it will be on the right, can't miss it.
I tried to look up the number but can't seem to find it.

Its not a long drive from Maryville, I use to live there for a short time.

I am beginning my business this season and have a few contracts. I am trying to locate bulk mulch in my area simply to purchase for the jobs I have lined up. I am working out of the Boise, Idaho area. Any possible business names I could contact? So far I have only located general sales businesses not wholesale sources.

Tunatime17, in North Jersey, I deal with S. Rotondi and Kira Land Mgmt. Other companies are Reliable, American Wood Products, Nature's Choice and Grinnell. I'm not sure who grinds in South Jersey by Delaware. If you can't locate a local outlet from one of these, you can try looking for land clearing companies that grind mulch in your area.
