What are some of the stranger fixture designs you've come across?

This is the Ravenna from Kim ... It's always struck me as one of the oddest looking, with kind of a retro sculptural quality that makes me think of Eichler homes, Danish Modern furniture and other styles of the 1950s... but I can also see it's versatility- a highly adjustable spot that can be located above groundcover... I didn't know until now that it was available in brass.

Gregg... I would think a forray into the depths of the Nightscaping Technical Manual will produce a plethora of the 'different and interesting'. Can you say "leafliter", "Director", etc etc.

Then of course there are the modern day oddities found over at Kichler... frogs, lillypads, and the like.

That Kim is pretty (dare I say it?) Unique though.

Funny how the smallest of comments will cost the speaker volumes of respect..

What James, are you implying that your clients wouldn't love the Cotswold Garden Gnome pathlight?

To be honest, I find this one, from Kichler's "Zen Garden" collection, about as offensive and tasteless as sculptures of black-faced lawn jockeys or sombrero-wearing Mexicans taking siestas.

I'm a comedian every morning Joey... just ask my girlfriend.... maybe she's drugging my coffee with something?

Besides which, I don't think Kichler understands "Zen" at all.

Of course, being headquartered in Cleveland that might just be a given.

Well the lights do come from China.......they are Zen by nature!

Of course, they can get away with the gnome light because as far as I know gnomes aren't very well politically represented....

And probably make a lot of residuals from Travelocity though...

My girlfriend beat you to it... she emailed me her response 4 hours or so before you posted.

"Perhaps the company's name should be KITSCH-ler...

And, hey, in Cleveland the lawn jockey faces have all been painted white by now..."

(She's from the greater Cleveland area.)
