I have a Wright Mower and one of the blades has slight play in it.((you can move the blade up and down, but ever so slightly.))Is this a wear factor,is the bearing shot, has time left?

is what its called, all spindles will have some. The important thing is does it feel gritty when you turn it by hand, without the belt attached. One of the easiest ways to check if a spindle is bad is to use a handheld, laser non-contact thermometer. You just point the dot at each spindle, in turn, after you have gotten the mower up to operating temps. If one is running hot it may have a problem (bad bearing, dry of grease, loose pulley, tight belt etc). Good tool for about $30-$80 bucks.:waving::waving:
