I finally got my dream truck.....a 1999 F-250 4x4 Power Stroke with only 20,000 miles. I am so happy. Only thing is, I dont know anything about Diesel engines. ie. Maintenance, etc.
Any quick tips would be greatly appreciated.

Check out www.ford-diesel.com for more information about your truck. Since joining there I have added a Super Chip, gauge cluster, K&N, TTM, 285's, DVD, MP3, and use Zaino waxes (The BEST). Check it out!

SJR, I am jealous. I hope to join the ranks of the Super Duty Diesels some day. Hopefully that day will be long after I pay off my Dodge 5.2 liter. Good luck

Congrats on the new truck. That sure is low mileage for a 99. :)

Sure is low mileage, I'm already pushing 40,000 on my 2000 Dodge!

Congratulations and enjoy................keep that oil changed!

:D Sure is low mileage, just turned over 20,000 miles on my 2001 Duramax and it is only 7 months old. Sounds like it will make a nice truck even though it is a Ford. Good luck and a diesel is alot nicer only one bad thing I can think of is the noise, but mine doesn't really bother me anymore.

You'll never go back to gas after the torque and fuel milage spoil you. I talked to some PSD owners at "the pumps" and they all liked them. That truck isn't broke in yet!

I'm right with ya Homer, my '00 has 44,000 and almost ready for some new tires. ;)
