Dealer wants $200 Cnd. for a throttle conversion (hip to tube) kit. Can it be done cheaper? Can't find a kit online or has anyone done one themselves.
I'm used to my hip throttle stick now. Didn't think I'd even like it. Probably wont switch over now. $200 sounds like a rip off though. Are you sure?

He told me around $200 Cnd. I know it sounds like alot. Should be an easy wiring job I may try myself. We need tube mounted 'cause the guys carry rakes or trimmers in their left hands.

Guy's carry rakes or trimmers in their left hands? What's up with that? What are ya a slave driver or somethin'? Why not hook a 21" to their belt loop and get just a little more production out of them.

At that rate, you are better off just buying a few PB-603's. Slightly less powerful (but still a GREAT blower), but they come w/ the tube throttle. Although I'm sure you can find a cheaper price some where. $200 is WAY too high!

I don't know what the exchange rate is for Canadian $$ to US $$, but I can tell you that the tube throttle kit for the PB 60 HT of a few years ago listed for $39.99 (US $$).

I got one guy that runs a hydro t-bar with a trimmer in his left hand on smaller props. I trim some of props with a BP on, saves reloading.
