I am price shopping my liability insurance that comes due this month. Do you guys have any good suggestions? Currently I am paying about 1200 per year for 1,000,000 each occurrence limit.

I am not sure if you would be able to qualify, it is here in College Station, TX, but I have an excellent insurance agent that found me a 1,000,000 liability plan for $404.00/year. The insurance company is ANCO insurance and it goes through Union Standard Insurance Group. If you would like further information E-Mail me at grasshopperslawnmaintenance@yahoo.com

Thats who mine is through. So is my auto and home. My agent is a buddy of mine from HS so I doubt he is going to try and stick it to me. So far though I have not had any claims. I do know this. The more I insure with him the cheaper it gets.

i think farm family is affeliated with them because i get a newspaper from farmers evey so often. Well stste farm did well they broker did not the co. long story short when i was new the brokers said yes yes yes to all my questions andthat was that i bought the insurance and 3 years lare my first claim trailer was broken into and wiped clean brand new mower / vac gone about 2 months old 7,500 well i quickly learned about marine inland policy. so lesson spend as much yime to actuallt see what you are covered for and ask any question you can think of they are just sales men make sure you cover your own ass no one else will (marine inland insurance is any 1 pice of equipment over $5000 has its own special policy so in 2 months that mowers cost me 2500 soinds stupid but i put all 7 seven snow plows on a policy and 5 salters also and my skid steer and my riding mowers i pay a lot into insurance but i expect to be there when i need it)

The lowest I was quoted was $1,200 through Farmers, Hartford and Travelers. $1MM General. The other companies listed aren't available in Texas.

The longer you are in business the more you can shop your insurance around. When you first start up there are only a few companies that will underwrite you. This is especially true with worker's comp coverage. Mine is going down signifcantly this year as it is my 3rd year in business. Now if I could only get my fuel supplier to do business this way I would be in hog heaven.

What do you get for paying huge insurance rates? If the contract covers what you need and it is a reputable company why should you pay more? I deal with my insurance company about once a year - when I pay the check.

I pay $300 for $2million liability and $550 for the truck and trailer, liability only.
