View Full Version : Sprinkler system for larger jobs

We have been using a sprinkler system for some of our larger seeding jobs this year, it's an above ground system that uses batteries in the control valves and a hand held programer. the 2" or 3" lines are slip fit with a rubber gasket and rubber/plastic strip that gets inserted into the fittings. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1504403&a=11355600&p=55646838&Sequence=0&res=high 2" and 3" lines

Looks great Paul ... where is your water supply for this?

On this site water is 1000' away and 250' lower, hooked up to a deep well and fed with a 10 hp electric pump.

Looks great paul

Do you have a backflow on that system also?

Only problem is, here in NJ it would be illegal to do without a licensed irrigation contractor to put it in.

Steveair, this is a temp system and there is no need for a back flow preventer on this one, the well is at a land fill so......

On others we have a back flow preventer that taps a hydrant along with the meter.

I've also have used the unik systems from rainbird. I of mixed oppion. Sometimes they work great. The problem I had was not having the programming unit with me or the infared would be too dirty. It is handy for doing a temp system like the case you're doing.

Looks interesting, what do you charge for this watering service?
