Post info about the accounts. Gross, sizes, etc. Looking at your equip I would estimate maybe $40K there, so how do 20 accounts equal $70K? Your not that far from me.

Sorry, but you are a little off on the equipment. There is over 68,000.00 in equipment alone. The Ford LCF is 7 months old( I bought it new in June / $ 43,000.00 truck ) The Walker mower only has about 270 hours and cost 11,500.00 new. The Kubota tractor is a year and a half old, with only about 90 hours. It cost almost $ 19,000.00 new, with all emplements. The bed edger is practically brand new with 2.3 hours on it. I've used it twice. It cost $3,000.00 new. The Ryan core aerator(lawnaire IV) is several years old, but has very low hours, and cost about $ 3,000.00 new.
I have put a fair market value on each piece after consulting my dealers that I purchased the equipment from. Fair market value of all equipment total is over $ 68,000.00, and I'm selling it for $65,000.00 firm. Possibly, you are a dealer, I assume by your name, looking to score a warehouse full of equipment cheap, and make a major profit on the resale of that equipment. Sorry, but if you are SERIOUS about purchasing the truck and equipment, step up. As for the accounts, there are 18 - 20. 2 are commercial, the rest residential, mostly mid to high end, small to medium sized. Gross billing on all per 12 month period, is where the $ 45,000.00 came from. That part is somewhat negotiable, but the equipment is not. That also does NOT include any other jobs done, like casual customers, landscaping jobs, extra customer jobs, tractor work, etc. I hope this answers any questions. Contact me back if you would like.

Not a dealer but I do know about equipment and fair prices. I did not realize some of your stuff was fairly new. I still don't get the figures you do. I was interested cause it seemed like you had nice high dollarr accounts but if you only gross $45K a year I would never pay that for them as it would take me two years minimum to even turn a profit. Most people say accounts are worthless or only pay 1-2 months of there gross. Good luck with your sale but your prices are way more then I would be willing to pay for what you have to offer.

Hello, and thanks for the reply. 2 commercials, the rest residentials, small to medium size, mid to high-end type, all pfofitable. I am a sole proprietor, and one man operation, offering residential and commercial lawn maintenance and landscape work in the Upstate S.C. area. Alot of the equipment is new or almost new, with low time. This business would be ideal for a starter, or a very good addition to an established business. I look forward to hearing from you.

That is some nice equipment. I don't think your pricing is off base much at all on the equipment. Now, as far as the accounts go, those prices could be all over the place. Around here, the rule of thumb is that accounts are worth 10% of the annual gross for one year. Accounts with signed contracts usually bring 20% on one years gross, at most.
Good luck with your sale. I hope you come out well on it.

$60,000 grand would be the most value for all + accounts if they are contracts.
