I have a 3.7 liter V6 in my Dodge 1500. Is there any way to get more HP and torque out of it?

sell it and buy one with a V8 or CTD.

less restrictive exhaust and bigger air intake are usually two good places to start.
new air cleaner can do wonders on the cheap

On a serious note though.
You can change the exhaust, intake, chips, etc, but at the end of the day, you'll do all that, spend a lot of money on maybe 5-7 hp. Not even enough to notice. Don't waste the money on a v6, save it for a downpayment on a bigger truck. just my .02

By the way, im not just talking out my a$$... I used to build modified chevy v6's, so I know how easy it is to sink money into them and be dissappointed in your results unless you are willing to tear it down and do some serious machine work. By then yes, it could make upwards of 6-700hp, but you will be spending easily 10-14k to do it! you can gain power out of a v8 with a $300 chip, but then it will only be maybe 10-15hp (honestly, regardless of what the box says). leave the truck alone unless its broke!

Upgrade the cooling system, switch over to synthetic oil, and let it rev higher. Normal power upgrades will be dissapointing. Being able to floor it without killing it will take the stress out of towing with an underpowered rig.
