You guys who think that all Case has to offer are backhoes... you just keep thinking along those lines... more power to the rest of us. Maybe you can think of some more definitions for C.A.S.E! I know most on here are having fun, but some guys really just stare through those mustard yellow goggles and think that's all there is. What's this :confused:mustard yellow! You talking about those darn Komatsu's:cool2:

I updated my dozers to Deere construction yellow this summer, looks more like the old original yellow days. That's as close to the good old days i'll get.

I was surfing over on machinerytrader today and checked out the 1850K Case dozers.Looked like something i would like to run once some time.As far as the final drives goes i would wether have the external ones, then the internal like on the Case.

Just easier to get to too work on if need be.

It's not quite mustard yellow...alright, maybe it is, but seriously, Cat is the best there is, period*trucewhiteflag*

I really don't have anything against Case, honestly, they build a good machine. I've actually spent a little time on a Case 580SL, not a bad machine, just didn't like the 3 lever + footswing, not my style. And the loader control was a little different than what I was used to, basically a solid stick covered with rubber. Oh boy, look what I just said. :dizzy:

Nicely put Dozerman.:clapping:

I get away from the laptop for a day and look what happens. The entire forum turns on me. Tim, I know that in the middle of the night with a flash light under blanket, your checking out the CASE dirt porn mags. Its OK, it wont stunt your growth or make you go blind:cool2:.

I have had good luck with CASE. I built a business around their equipment, much like many others. I have been around them on many levels from a customer, and from an engineering standpoint, as well as been to Tomahawk proving grounds. There are a first class company. Very professional, very dedicated. I like doing business with them. You guys can come up with all the acronyms you want, own a piece of CASE equipment and you'll see what many guys are finding out....that its a quality piece of equipment.

I can see I need to drag this dang thing around and nip this stuff in the bud before it gets two pages long.:waving:

Wow...go to bed and it turns into a bashing thread, the CASE rep CALLED me...NO CARROT needed...he asked to drop off some info on their equipment, out of courtesy I said yes, not the sharpest knife in the drawer but a nice guy....I don't believe in claiming one brand is better than the other, and yes I agree CASE (and others) make quality equipment....I would demo one of there small dozers but...no cab...no hydrostat...by the end of the year he claims the 550 will offer these options. KSSS if you do have any CASE porn I would be glad to look at it....if I was going to go blind if would have happened by now....

Yea I figured out that old wives tail was false by the time I was 12 yoa. I shoulda been blind at 12 and severe tennis elbow by 30.

I was told that the 550 would get a hydostat by now. I wonder what is taking so long. So the CASE salesman stopped by to say hi. Very nice, I assume this is not the salesman of old, that tried to sell you the TK? I would like to get you a trip to Tomahawk, Wi. That is mecca for a CASE guy and even if your not a CASE guy. It is the dirt equivelent of the Playboy mansion.

Count me in on the trip to Tomahawk. I was asked to go a couple of years ago but I had to work. Can you run the equipment there? I'd like to pay a visit to the Playboy mansion as well if you could pull some strings!:cool2:

Case has been promising the 550 with a factory cab and hystat by "the end of the year" for the past 3 years.

KSSS- I've got some questions that I was going to PM to you sometime to ask the Case brass when you go to ConExpo, if you don't mind. I'll be in Vegas 2 weeks after the show for a bachelor party. I tried to go at the same time but the airfare and hotels skyrocketed by the time we tried to book the trip. Next time I won't be booking for seven other guys...:dizzy:

You can run everything they have there ie haul trucks, graders, excavators from a mini to a 330 I think was the biggest they had when I was there. That was the first time I had the chance to run one their dozers. Great time. The food is like out of this world. There was a thread at HEF on this a couple days ago.

I am meeting up with the factory skid steer guy at Con Expo. However usually all the brass from the different divisions is there. Rusty Schaeffer is the guy in charge of the dozer program. PM your questions and I will see if I can find an answer for you.

As far as the Playboy mansion? Well I am afraid your on your own there. If I could have gotten myself in I would likely not have this dam sore elbow the last ten years or maybe it would be worse (thats not likely).

They only have the internal final drives because they build them with confidence.:weightlifter:

I agree... they should be external. It makes them much easier to get to. Actually, I think some of the bigger dozers use external final drives. I'm not sure if it has to do with an upgrade, the sprocket, or the tracks. I know Deere also has internal final drives, at least on their smaller dozers.

It sounds like you switched back to the older "Hi-Way" paint color, I think they called it.
