Just wondering how hard it is going to be to take the PTO out of a C65 and installing it in a C30. Expensive job? Any tips or past experience would be great.

Are you sure the PTO off of the C65 will bolt up to C30?

Not sure, ksss. Forgot to ask if it was even possible. I guess the 65 could be quite a bit bigger. Can't find much about it running a google search.

(thanks picasso :))

you could always put central hydro on the c30 if the pto wont fit.

The old C65 probably has a spicer 5spd and the Chevy 1 ton probably has a old 4spd. You can buy a adaptor to make it work. If your really serious about a PTO Muncie makes a PTO to fit any transmission it may cost you 1200 dollars or so but it will fit and give you years of reliable service.

I usually check with the local hydraulic shop. they have books that will tell you. almost all of them bolt up the same but, that doesn't always mean it'll work. FYI those gaskets in there are shims so make sure you use them again.
