I would like to downsize my current set up and go with a landscape bed on my current truck. Does anyone have any ideas? What size bed with dove tail could I get away with? I will only be carrying a 54"wb and 21" mower. Thanks for any suggestions!

Truck is pictured in above post. Is it possible to put an 8 or 10 foot landscape bed on the back of this truck! What would be the max w/ dovetail? Any ideas on price and who could do it? Thank you!

do a search on here, there was a fella document very well how he built one for a 99 F250 I think...Anyway good luck, post some pictures as you go...I'm very intersted in that as well, I don't use alot of equipment and I get tired of pulling a trailer all the time.

By the looks of the truck you could probably do an 8' bed. 6' long and a 2' dovetail. Just my 2 cents. good luck

If you have a long box to start with you could possibly do 9-10 ft, but you might be dragging in and out of steep areas. Even with a long box truck I would stick to an 8' landscape bed. I have an excab longbox 2500hd and there is no way I would want to put another 2 feet back there coming down at an angle. 2 feet straight back and level would be ok though.

With a short box, I would not go any longer then 8' max, for the same reasons.

Does anyone know where I could get this done? All of my searches have pulled up mainly places in Texas and North Carolina. Some place in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan or Kentucky would be great!

Have you looked up in Elkhart Indiana? You can get about any trailer or truckbed ever made there. Also, i noticed you said you will be carrying a 52" and 21" but your signature says you have a 36 trimstar, you looking to sell it?

Check my signature. mine is 9 foot and no dovetail. The problems is the weight with a z and mowers etc. We are going to sell it and buy 2 cabovers for next year. Ive learned Simplicity is the key.

I would not go bigger than 7 flat deck on your truck.
