I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 shortbed. I'm thinking of putting a flatbed on so I have more space. Anyone ever put a flatbed on a 1/2 ton shortbed? Any feedback would help. Weight? Cost? Thanks

oh heck yeah, I personally think they look better on a 3/4 ton, however if you do a search on here, there was a fella put a flat bed on a newer dodge 1/2 ton w/ a dovetail, and he puts a ztr on it...talk about ultra functional, and he can still hook his trailer up...check it out!

Plan on adding some leaf springs and airbags. The truck will handle it just fine.
