been having problems with a lot of white smoke at first startup. It goes away as i drive down the road or should say when it warms up.I was wondering if you guys up north experience this in the really cold weather with the diesels.

I would take it in to have the valves adjusted. It's very, very important to have this service done every 50,000 miles on the isuzu diesel. I had it done at 50000, my valves were way out of adjustment. I noticed improved power and mpg, and my engine was much quieter after this service.

My npr is a 2003, our trucks should have the same 4.7 inline 4.
