Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock

(MADE IN JAPAN )

for 6am.

While his coffeepot

(MADE IN CHINA )

was perking, he shaved with his electric razor

(MADE IN HONG KONG ).

He put on a dress shirt

(MADE IN SRI LANKA ),

designer jeans

(MADE IN SINGAPORE )

and

tennis shoes

(MADE IN KOREA )

After cooking his breakfast in his new

electric skillet

(MADE IN INDIA )

he sat down with his

calculator

(MADE IN MEXICO)

to see how much he could spend today. After setting his
watch

(MADE IN TAIWAN )

to the radio

(MADE IN INDIA)

he got in his car

(MADE IN GERMANY )

filled it with GAS

(from Saudi Arabia )

and continued his search

for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end

of yet another discouraging

and fruitless day

checking his

Computer

(Made In Malaysia ),

Joe decided to relax for a while.

He put on his sandals

(MADE IN BRAZIL)

poured himself a glass of

wine

(MADE IN FRANCE )

and turned on his

TV

(MADE IN INDONESIA ),

and then wondered why he can’t find

a good paying job in AMERICA …

in Huckabees economic plan he hopes to eliminate the burden of off the top taxes on American goods and services. Fica ,unemployment ins, corp. taxes. Ss taxes,... all these things are sitting there waiting to be added to the price of any new product before it ever hits the shelf. The only way we can sell our products to the world is if we have something they can't produce like the entertainment industry or advanced weaponry. Huckabee hopes to trim some of the up front costs and make our products competetive in the world market again so we don't have to export all our jobs. We can't export lawn mowing but we may benefit from a plan like this. Imagine a $35 lawn cut . You start the day owing taxes on the fuel, labor, and income (35% self employment tax) even before you start the mower. What if you just paid a flat rate on your income and your employees did the same. If you got more of that $35 cut in your pocket could you afford to hire Americans at American wages? could those same employees then afford to buy more goods and services ? Regan proved that by letting Americans keep more of their own money you will generate more tax revenue by growing he economy. Small pie big slice vs big pie small slice. big pie good for America!
