What warm season grass...

I have a customer who wants a warm season grass over seeded with the existing fescue. Which would look the best: Bermuda, Zoysia...? The area just gets pounded with sun and he can't use his irrigation to keep the fescue going b/c of the drought. I know this probably sounds dumb but thats what he wants...

You can't overseed with zoysia, and the plugs or sprigs take a long time to develop. I don't know about other WSG's. I seeded my yard with zoysia a couple years ago, and everything I read everywhere said that the seedbed had to be completely free of existing sod. You can go the other way, though. Once the zoysia is established, you can overseed with TTTF (which I'm going to do next fall for some winter color).
