I just bought a used GMC K2500 as a back up to my regular pick up. Not to familiar with GMC's as I have always had a Ford.
When driving in just two wheel drive is it better to have the floor shifter in 2H or in the neutral position?
Thanks
in nuetral it will go nowhere everything is free wheeling

in neutral you wont go anywhere except down hill.
So the correct answer and with most manual shift 4x4's 2high unless you need power to both axles.

Keep it in 2H. Neutral is just that, neutral.
BTW, what engine does it have??

unless you get to the light and want to race hondas....
then you want 4 low with the front hubs unlocked
with a little weight in the back you can probably wheelstand

Thanks for help. Morons with smart comments real classy. I'm not a mechanic. My ford has a switch. Switch reads 2W and 4W. The GMC is a diesel truck.
