mowin' over seed

I overseeded my yard about 3 weeks ago, hasn't rained since. Yard is starting to look a little ragged, would it hurt the seed to mow over it now..........no bagging of course............or should I wait another month or two for rain!:blob2:

I really want to clean it up so I can start watering it myself since the big well in the sky has dried up.:angry:

Got to see some green here or I'm gonna lose it!

Should have watered it yourself Homer. I seeded this year and watered and watered and the results weren't that great. I would just go ahead and mow, but wouldn't use those high lift blades that everyone uses. :)

It should be fine to mow it, just use a lower lift blade like a gator type and avoid any bare areas if you have them.

i'd cut it high and close the ocdc.going back and forth of course.

Sharpen the blades good and cut at a low rpm. Run the rpm's just high enough to cut. Try to limit the airflow that could blow the seed.
