What percent response for advertisements?

I was wondering how most of you guys advertise and what means do you guys find to be most effective. Also, what is the response rate on mailers. Is it 3-5 percent?

Postcards work very well!

Door Hangers work very well!

I think that realistically you would be looking at 1-2% but a lot of that can be determined by timing, quality of piece and the area you market in.

You would be lucky to get 3%. I've tried every type of advertising over the years and the return is about 2% in the overall.
