Hi! I've seen in several turf seed mixtures, the usage of Festuca ovina. Now, I can understand the advantages of using Festuca rubra or Festuca arundenaceae (which I'm a great "fan"!), but what's the advantage of using the ovina on a garden lawn?... after all, it’s more like a meadow plant then a turf one, no?!
I’ve herd about the drought resistance and the ability to adapt well to either acid and alkaline soils, but I haven't any confirmed information.
Any of you recommend this species????
Thanks.
Bruno
