Hi guys, What a great site to be part of. Well I am about 3 or 4 days away from getting my new Takeuchi tl140 and I just wanted to get any feed back from people who own a tl140. This is my first piece of equipment, I have only been in business for about 2 years. Takeuchi seemed to me like the best ctl hands down. I did not demo any machine that was even close to comparison.

you'll love it...we have a TL130, just be ready to dish our $2300 (just the track cost, doesn't include labor) for new tracks after 800 hours...but our 130 can't be beat
and he already bought the machine...don't tell him to buy a cat or bobcat:nono: you know who you are...haha

I had demo days with every ctl I could think of and nothing came close. In nj we just about every dealer you could think of. :gunsfirin

That was a good choice.
We love ours, and it was the best priced one out of all of them! The only thing I do not like is the fact that you can not prep for concrete in a 7' door, and they like fuel but, I guess they all do.

yeah i considered that but we rarely ever do garage floors. They had a case that was a lot lower but not as powerful.

You won't necessarily replace the tracks at 800 Hrs. It all depends on how you run the machine. If you spin allot in 360's or run in allot of rock or spin out the tracks while trying to dig then maybe but if you respect the machine you can see upwards of 2,000 Hrs. I have seen it done. A friend of mine has a T190 Bobcat that has just over 3,000 Hrs on his original tracks. I am not lying they are slicks now but are still going. It all depends on how you treat them. I own and love my Takeuchi TL130. When I need new tracks I will be going with the after market brand tracks for allot less money that my dealer also sells. They recommended them to me.

The Takeuchi is a bullet proof machine, really idiot proof, they were the first CTL's built on a tracked undercarriage.

Well the machine will mostly be owner operated. When I was at the dealer I quoted after market tracks and they where about 1600. Has anyone had a dozer blade on the takeuchi?I figure if I can get 1200 hrs I will be happy.

we had the dozer blade and sold it, the thing was useless, to us anyway...its tricky to run and didn't push a whole lot

From what I've heard, just throw a bucket on that machine and you should have as much of a dozer as you'd ever need.

yup...that thing will roll dirt over the back of the bucket like its nobodies business, dozer blades on machines that small are useless because you don't have a long enough undercarriage to get a good final grade job, backfilling ditches are about all they are good for...and it takes less time with a bucket anyway

Plus it is not like a dozer were you can see the back of the cutting edge to tell how much cut you are doing so you will constantly be dipping too deep in the ground and it will feel like a whole bunch of speed bumps.

I was unsure on the blades i thought that the ground force of the tl140 would be enough to cut and carve final grades. But I should be fine with the bucket and a cutting edge.

Most CTL machines will spin the tracks without some down force with the bucket.
I am the resident Takeuchi nutcase.LOL
I was in here all by myself defending the fort.Glad too finally have some reinforcements!

Well they make simple powerful equipment. If you do not need all the little gadgets that the other companies win you with then there really is only one option. TAKEUCHI

He is a landscaper and the machine does allot of rock hounding and small light grading. He also has a Deere CT322 that does allot of the heavier pushing. Also I subcontract work from him and my TL130 does the most grunt work on grading the yards he gets. The T190 has a easy life and he doesn't want to put money in it for tracks since he wants to trade it in on another Deere. He does not like the T190 at all. He loves his Deere.

anything with pilots for me. I love the takehoochi fold up door vs. a swing out door.

Thats a WORLD RECORD! I sold them for years and never ever saw any Bocat tracked machine come remotely close to that. Has he had to change the sprocket yet? Good for him.

NO, no sprockets or rollers or any thing wear related with the tracks and undercarriage. He has had a list of problems with the machine though. He makes his employees take care of his machines and it obviously pays off.

I did not think they had enough power too wear out the tracks?

They don't much wear when there sitting at the dealer idling while someone is scratching their arse trying to troubleshoot it.
