Put the the Toro in the shop today for an idler pulley (150 hrs) . The good part is the dealer is gonna let me "demo" their new Hustler Super Z while mine is under repair!! I am excited to see how much faster I can get the job done and the quality of cut while the wind is blowing thru my hair.:blob3:

Remember you have to return the Hustler Super Z. Don't forget to bring it back. Your mower is awaiting your return. It says don't forget about me. Your El`Toro said "You don't look so good on Yellow"
BTW I hope your hair doesn't fall out in the wind.
Let us know how it does on the grass down ther in Tulsa.

thats pretty funny. if your hair does fall out, maybe it will increase production. less drag behind the mower:)

Brian, your already done, you might as well arrange financing if necessary, and plan on selling or trading the Toro, once you drive the Super Z,your Toro wont feel as good as it used to.I was going to keep my Dixie after my lease is up,not now,the day the lease is up,Im buying it out,and selling it off,to buy a Super Z.it is when you hp back on the Toro that you'' really notice it,since the Supe Z is so smooth ,you dont realize your going that fast until you trade off to your old mower, and it feels so slow.

TotalLawn,
What dealer did you go to, is it Bloss? There aren't many in our area that "demo" mowers like that one.

He's like the energizer bunny, he's still going and going and going and going...............................................................
My Hustler Shortcut went in for some warranty work a few weeks ago and I was loaned a Super Z 25/60. What an awesome machine. I hated for the Shortcut to get fixed so fast.

WHAT A MACHINE!!!! I hated to give it back. The cut is excellent!! Even at HIGH speeds. I think the best parts was the Suspension seat!! You can't tell how fast you are going until you go airborn!!
I cut 15 minutes off my time for the property I used it on!!! THAT IS ONE FAST MOWER!!:blob3:
Scott, yes, it was Bloss.
The funny thing is that the Toro rep was there when I returned the Hustler and picked up the Toro. He didn't have much to say.
End Result: My next mower very well may be a Super Z!!!

i told you,get out the check book now.I mowed my whole front lawn at 15 mph, just to see how good it would do,it looked great, and It hadnt been cut in over a week,I was pulling 1-2" off the top.

And I have a picture to prove it. ;)
BTW John, do you cut the same direction each week?

Eric, that part hadnt been cut in 2 weeks, and it has been dry,so anything on the lawn is leaving tire tracks.I usually cut that side, the same 2 weeks, then at an angle, but I think that part only got cut about 6 times all year it was so dry. That Hustler is very fast,I istill cant believe how good it can cut at 15 mph.I do think my Dixe stripes a hair better though, even if it has a caster tire track in the cut.

Does the Hustler really cut at 15? I thought it had a transport speed of 15, but cut much slower? How does it do in tall wet grass, does it aproach a chopper in cutting performance with tall grass, anyone know?
Thanks

All I know, is 15 mph, is FLYin'! It somehow wouldn't surprise me that it WOULD cut at that speed. I know, in the right conditions, my Lazer will cut well, full out at 10 mph, and I thought THAT was fast! I would love to try one of these machines. Kind of like a quadrunner with a deck on it. Man, we could just put a set of paddles on there, and have a weekend sand dune recreation vehicle!:p

I had to try it,just to see if it would do it,it cuts as good at 15 mph,as my Dixie does at 10,actually it cuts better, because the Hustler didnt leave any front tire tracks in the cut, that later stand up taller than the rest of the lawn, like the Dixie does wide open.

Thanks for the report(s) on the Hustler. I do look forward to spring so that I can demo on my own property. I was going to demo during the fall, but no rain here since September and nothing is growing.
