Yeah, try using a little punctuation now and again. I almost lost my breath reading that.

Is it a 5.9 or a 6.7?
There have been some problems with injectors in the 5.9, and the 6.7 seems to tick a little more than the old 5.9.:usflag:

I have same truck but 5.9 i mine. Asked dealer and checked a few other sides and the noise or tick you are hearing is the injectors. They call it injector rattle.
But an additive in the fuel, or something to lube up the diesel a little more and the noise will go away or at least quite down.

How do you like that 6.7?

Good luck

quality,

Is this your first dodge? Im thinking of getting another one, but i was not impressed with demo they gave me when my truck was in the shop, I have 07 quad single wheel 3500 5.9 and 6sp. they gave me 07 quad dually 4x4 6.7 and new aisin auto, the power didnt seem to be up there and mileage was only around 13 empty and pulling 13000, it hit 7.2, with my 5.9 im getting 17 and 10 puling, just wondered what you experience was with the cummins

What did you find out on your tick noise?

Diesels do tick, sure do.
It's probably just broke in now, geez.

You could try dodgeforum.com, or if it keeps bothering you just give it to me and go buy another.

Mine is an 07' 5.9. I bought it new last March. I'm getting the exact same mileage you're getting. However, I just put on some aggressive all-terrain tires which dropped my highway to 17. Haven't had this problem and im at 60,000 miles right now. I did have a skid plate come loose and it sounded like a u joint going out until I finaly realized what it was.
