does anyone know where you can order counter weights for a cat skid steer other than the dealer.. also just wondering where would they mount on a 242 model.. thanks chris

The weights hang on a rack on the back of the machine. If you don't want to buy Cat weights, just buy some weights from a tractor dealership and fab up a custom rack.

I bought 4 40 pounders from my Deere place for $200, gotta paint them Cat yellow though.

If those are the green ones that you used to tighten your tracks you better sandblast them first before painting them yellow.By the way why are you adding weight ?????? :usflag:
I thought the weights were added in your wallet on a CAT? Thats what I always heard.:confused:

Yep, Cat does add weight to your wallet, they're cheaper in the long run :laugh:

Nope, I don't need the weights for my Cat, the mini hoe needs it when the hammer goes on it though, but that's a project for another thread.
