What are the going rates for core aeration? I will be using a Bluebird H530A.

I set a minimum of 50. Tag on some extra for out of your general area (gas) fees. (Especially if your only doing one lawn) Base the lawns on anywhere from .01 to .016 per square foot. If you want to do standard pricing do something like:
Small lawns (under 5000sq.ft.)= .012 per sq.
Medium lawns (5000-10000) = .011
Large lawns (10000+) = .0105
I quoted a lawn yesterday. Only about 2500 square foot at .02 sq/ft. She accepted. I only agreed because she referred me to 2 neighbors. All three signed up. Consider offering a discount for referrals to neighbors.

I am confused...that is $50 you agreed too.(.02*2500)psf.
Using your formula for small lawns, the price is $30(.012*2500)psf.
I think anything under 5k you round up and multiply by .012

The $50 minimum is a pretty good idea, but you might be able to get more if you educate the customer on why you are doing it. Sometimes you can quote a higher price if you explain the increased air to the roots, better fertilizer response, and drought tolerance. (sorry, sounds like we are in class) Another way to get a little more for your service is by adding gypsum to your aerify. It never hurts to throw down gypsum and it makes you more money.
Make sure you communicate with the customer about flagging the sprinkler heads! If you have to do it charge another 15-20. If the customer wants to flag their own it saves you the trouble, or you just made another 20 bucks.
So let's recap. $50 min.
$30 1 bag of gypsum installed
$20 to flag sprinklers
Sounds like $100 for a small yard full service.
