1950 is hard place to stop since CASE and CAT go to 2K for their ROC class. Also vertical or radial lift?

Ok say 2 k then. It doesn't really matter on vertical or radial.

Cat 236BII or a new 246C with no thought in it. Since you said no price limit it would be a no brainer for me. They are fast, strong, reliable, and are flat grading almost as good as a track machine. They are balanced very well with a good long wheel base. Pilot controls are the only controls I will ever want to buy and run ever again so it is Cat hands down for me.

You could go 420 - 69 hp/1850 roc
430 - 77 hp/2000roc
440 - 83 hp/2200roc (*net hp numbers)
How or what are you planning the machine to do? Two speed?

After you have two speed, will never get a machine without. For plowing it rules, and I used the two speed when sweeping parking lots.

Anyone ever have any problems with two speed? Like anything breaking? How much more does it cost?
the dealer would never screw me over, but i paid Around $26000 for a s-160. All my options are, counter weight kit, suspension seat. thats all i can think of

I think at least with the Case it is around $1,000-1,500 if I remember right. Never had problems but some times it would come on slowly. We plowed with a 95XT(1700 hours) years ago and everyone was hard on it and the two speed still worked good.

ahhh cat you paid top dollar i think.. there giving that machine away now
I've plowed a fair bit with a single speed skid, i bet a two speed is just awesome. A skid is much better in tight areas than a truck but it took me forever to do long pushes and to commute from job to job. Sure would like to try one some time.
Here is everything
2007 Bobcat s-160

I would say a Case 430 or even a 320 Deere.

A 420 Case would be more comparible to the hp of the 320 Deere.
