They are very helpful and knowledgeable and will go out of their way to keep you satisfied. That counts allot in my book up and beyond price.

I love it. The only complaints I can say is the cab is loud inside, the oil dipstick is a long reach and on a dark morning you need a flashlight to find the dip stick hole to put the dipstick back and last thing is the filters on the machine are put in stupid locations and you make a mess in the belly pan when you do servicing.:dizzy: All the goods on the machine would fill up a 3 page letter. I would buy another tomorrow if I needed one and wouldn't even think twice.

I bought my machine used 250 Series II Deere with around 1,850 hours for $13,500. So far has been a good machine. Only thing it needed when I bought it and I knew it was it needed the pins and bushings replaced where the bucket curls. I was looking at Case, Cat and Deere very heavy. I was looking a little at Bobcat and New Holland also. So far of having it over a year now I am very happy with it.

the tracks ride great!! in the lot before i bought it the guy had a t300 with new oem tracks on it, i took it up to a pile of snow about the size of a pick-up truck and tried to push it. all it did was spin the tracks and go no where. then i took the deere up to it and did the same, it pushed the whole pile at once without spinning the tracks at all. i love them, every one told me i wont be able to push any snow with it but i know differently now.

I paid around $38,000 at 3.9% for a Gehl 5640E with cab, heat/air,pilots,stereo,counter weight, ride control, and everything else they offered except the rotating beacon. Then I spent $7,500 on VTS track system. After all that, I spent the best $16 I have ever spent and bought an awesome cupholder that folds up into itself when not in use. Oh yea, also had a camera installed so I can see directly in the rear.....

i didnt mean to sound like a stuck up little f#%k but i could make a huge list of mechanical things i have fixed in the last 2 weeks. i was a certified ase mechanic all through high school. the only thing i wont touch is hydro cylinders or hydro motors or automatic transmissions. these guys that call the dealer to fix a blown hydro line or broken starter are crazy i was doing that crap when i was ten. if i wasn't very confident in my repair abilities i wouldn't have bought a machine with that many hours, i would have got a small new wheeled machine but i feel like this machine will make me more money in the long run

i welded the subframe and the hinges on my kodiak. i can but they aren't the prettiest things. i want to get a big wire welder because its so much easier then a stick welder. i have to do some light welding on my fisher blade in the morning to.
if i had a scanner i would show you some pics that would make your jaw drop they are so ugly. i bought my kodiak and it was a rust bucket so the whole thing came apart, i mean EVERYTHING came off all the way down to the frame rails getting separated. then i sand blasted the whole thing and primed and painted it (oh yeah i can paint decent to) put it all back together and then rewired it from the cab back. it was depressing to see my truck sitting thereon 4 blocks of fire wood with a huge pile of rusty parts next to it. never again will i buy something in that bad of shape.

$62,241, monthly payments were $1,037.35 for 60 months with 4.9% interest rate for the Bobcat T190.

And for an extra $100 I could have gotten a 5 gallon pail of Vaseline for all the times I got bent over with that pain in the a**. But like the naive 25 year old I was, I didn't think that T190 would ever be any problems.

Got a new pair of Cat C series Gloves and a new water proof and shatter proof wrist watch for nothing.

Cat2, I have nothing but good to say about the Case machine that I have been around. Only thing is they are a little expensive but other than that a good tough built machine. Only thing I did not like was they made the booms a little cheaper for a bit but I thought I read somewhere that they are building them heavy built again.

I like the power of these machines. The current cab is not that nice (hopefully that has been fixed with the new ones comming out), but man they move material. I am not aware of another wheeled machine with as much torque as what is available in a CASE (especially in the 440, 450 and 465).

When i'm ready to trade in. I'll have to take a close look at case. and see how it compares

Way back in '01 I got a 170 NH (no cab, no hyd. coupler) with Grouser tracks for $20,300. Was charging the same per hour as now.
In '05 440 Case (cab/air/hyd. coupler/2 speed/other misc options) for $31,500. Pretty soon I will find out what the 440S3 Case will cost.
I can't believe skids can cost what they are costing, I didn't pay that much for my 721B loader.:dizzy:
wow i never seen a thread grow like this. i learned alot though

thats not a bad price for the 440. I'm looking at the specs of the 430 and i like what i see. Wow look at the torque!!!!!!!!!

The Case's power is scary, I think when I ran the NH I was a better operator, had to finesse the machine. With the Case you just point it at stuff and run it over. I think the new 420 is going to surprise alot of folks, small package/lots of power.
i like the foot controls. because thats all i have ever drove. does case offer foot controls? I like the case, but wow there just seems like there is so much machine behind you. that would take some getting use to
How is getting to all the filters, and add fluid and all of that? easy to get to? how is the resale value?

I saw a listing once for a 1845 that had foot controls but don't remember seeing anything in the newer machines specs. I understand, once you learn with hands or foot don't want a differnt style. I can only (or don't want) run anything but the Case style. I have learned to live with the new Cat contols because our Polaris/ASV has those.

If that cup holder is good enough for a Mercedes 500 series it MAY just make it into my skid....heck anything is better than between the legs or spilling on the floor. Put one in the skid and one in the excavator.....

I know things cost more now a days but for the largest Cat MTL at almost $70,000 that is just crazy.:dizzy:
It was only about 10 years ago that kind of money would buy a big rubber tire loader. Before long a pickup truck will run around $70,000 and a skid steer will be in the 6 digits.

yep that sounds right to. one of them was trashed/beat up and looked like it had been through hell and back. the other could have passed for a brand new machine. i got the second one. i know they were hard on them but oh well, i could have bought the extended warrenty for $4,000 but decided not to because i would take the chance and didnt really have the $ for it. 4k can buy me alot of parts so some big stuff will have to break before i wish i had bought it.

Wow. Where is that dealer? I'd like to give him a call.
A local NH dealer quoted me $28.7 k for an L175 with aux hydraulics, a bucket, and 2 speed.

That sounds about right. I was quoted $72k for Cab/air, highflow, etc. I am not sure if it had all the options, but $72k was hard to swallow.
What are you guys paying for ASV's? I have not seen anyone comment on them.

Last time I heard the new ASV PT100 was going for about $57k with a bucket, highflow and two speed and the full cab (A/C, heat, and sound package) was around $6k. So fully loaded the machine would be about $63k before negotiations begin.

I'm pretty sure that price on the PT100 is accurate and it includes standard 38gpm load sensing high flow, 11.5 mph, 69" wide, 4.4L 92 net hp engine with 304 ft lbs of torque, 3800lb ROC, 125" pin height, etc. I only wish I had a need for a large framed machine.
