i would rather sit my arse down on whatever seat comes with whatever i buy. no way would i spend that much money, unless the seat was totally uncomfortable, even then i would learn to deal with it.

hey if I was already gonna drop $550 for a Michigan seat, I may as well go all out and get the best seat out there!

I can never justify spending that much on a seat. i got the suspension add-on for my exmark for $150. it will be out in the weather and get exposed to the elements and what-not. not to mention dirty arses sitting in it after a long, hot, sweaty day. not for me. i have a few other things i could spend $800 on. but whatever tickles your fancy!

thats some seat.....

if a seat comes with a owners manual... its probably not in my budget....

if i drove for a living.... it might be worth it... it does look cool.... i want to sit in it...just to see what it feel like.....

wonder if they give seat demos...

I couldn't agree with you more! If your the one that operates the mower every day, all day long, then go for it. How much money is your back worth? I get the same reactions about the Grammer suspension seat for the Walker. It's expensive but, I've never rode a suspension seat as nice as the Grammer that comes on the Walker. The seat your getting looks to be even better with the 12v air suspension. If I had a big company with lots of employees I wouldn't bother with something like that. Like I said before, If the seat is for you then I don't see the big deal. I know my back gets sore from riding my Walkers without suspension seats all day. Especially if I get on a lawn with a bad mole problem. I've got a new mower for myself this season that has the Grammer seat!

That's where I saw it! On a walker. Couldn't remember where I saw it for the life of me. So you got the one with the gas dampener suspension. How do you like it compared to the Michigan seat??

I can't comment on the Michigan seat since I've never had one. The only suspension seats I've ever rode on have been on other peoples mowers. The others that I've tried were nice, but the amount of dampning that the Grammer has really impressed me.

The Michigan comes on alot of mowers including some walkers. Next time you're at the dealer, check it out and let us know why you think of the difference!

I actually got to SIT on one on a walker, they use a different model on their machines though, not sure WHY they insist on using black vinal. Has to be the dumbest material and color choice for a seat that gets used in the heat and the sun!

but I digress... I only got to sit in the seat, not even moving, and it was like OMG. Makes the suspension seat on my grasshopper feel like a wood barstool. Yes, I can't imigine spending that much on a seat either... and I love the line about "if a seat comes with a owners manual... its probably not in my budget...." LOL!

I wonder how that grammer seat stacks up against the Michigan on the Hustler paired with the flex base...

looks like a pretty cumfy seat. I wouldn't mind having that on my mower but I wouldn't want to fork over the money for it.

When I didnt have any employee's I was going to put one on my grasshopper. Then I got employee's and they dont need something that nice. There is a ag dealer in worthington MN that takes disabled ag equipment and parts them out. Late model tractors, or combines have seats simmilar or better than what was profiled on the 1st page of this thread. They should be when you pay 225k for a new combine. However when I worked in the ag industry and ran those expensive 4wd tractors and 225K+ combines the ride/seats where awesome, almost better ride than a caddy.
However, I cant immagine that seat in the elements, however, if I ever did go back to being solo I would seriously look back into it.
