Welcome to LawnSite. do you have a lawn mower, trimmer, blower, trailer, truck, and business ins? after that, doorhangers work the best. Do a search on here, this has been beaten to death over the past few days.

Also, try advertising in your local paper. It depends on your area, but it works really good for me. I always get at least one call when I advertise, and it usually turns into a job.

I would'nt go too crazy if your just starting out...if you advertise in your paper its going to be a wider area your going to get calls from too. Door hangers can be handed out in a specific area yielding business in that specific area. But dont go telling 75 people you can cut their lawns if you're just starting out. start slow and then when you have the equipment and you know this is something you want to continue to do and can handle when its 102 degree out. then expand your business to include more clients.. just my .02
