When I picked up my Toro, I saw a "TimeCutter" (home owner version of z100) with a snow plow. It was light duty looking. It looked like it hooked to the deck linkage - the deck was removed.
I know dixie chopper made one for their machines, but never have seen anyone with one.

I saw it at the dealer, when I picked my Toro up from getting it serviced. I was just curious if anyone else had actually seen a blade on a zero turn in real life- maybe they are getting more popular. I saw a thread on the PlowSite from last year about the Dixie Chopper Blade set up.
I wasn't asking about getting a blade for a Z, or using a z for snow removal, just thought it was interesting.
I meant it from the point of view of expanding the uses of a Z type mower, sorry if I wasn't clear. ;)

When I bought my DC the dealer had a used DC with a plow attached. The brackets are welded to the front of the machine. The installation looked a little crude as whoever did it just slapped it together with no repainting of welded surfaces and stuff like that. It didn't look like it was in any danger of falling off though.

I've got the 60" DC blade and like it fine. It mounts directly to the frane and can be installed in about 10 minutes. You need to remove the front bumper and then simply slide the brackets over the frame and tighten 3 bolts on each side. It angles to each side and has side shields that can be removed or left in place if you wish. I think it was around $625.................Lynn

There are even some now that offer a two stage snow thrower, rotary broom, and dozer blade that can be mounted to hydrostatic wb's in addition to the riders.

Goto toros website check out the zmaster mowers then select one of the zmasters (mine is 62"23hp kohler)when you get to that page select "accessaries" you will find the name of a company that makes 2 stage snowthrowers with a canvas or vinyl cab. i didn't check it out but i think they are in the north maybe even Canada.

Lawnsite member "Beck" has one for his DC
Mounts to the front of the frame. I would like to see how it does.
May need some chains and weights for the back.

I'm going to put a 48" on my Turf Tiger this winter. I'm also found this site http://shop.cedarrapidstire.com/ to help outfit my Scag with the proper tires for snow. Call them if you needhelp choosing which is best.

We have a plow on our lazer that we use on sidewalks. We had to buy extra rims and put the largest size agricultural style tires we could find on it. It will push six inches of lake effect snow straight fairly easily. It likes to slide sideways when you try to windrow too much snow at one time. We have to plow some granite sidewalks and the tires work well since chains are out of the question. I will try to post a picture of the setup.

DC also makes a 72" snow blade. I saw a new one last week but it wasn't mounted. I think they are either foot lift or electric lift option.
Been there done that! 60" plow on DC-XW-2300, used it twice and sold it at a $125.00 loss. It wont go up the ranp at a normal angle because of the extension on the front and extra weight up front. Trailering in snow and ice Will bare your nerves. Any mist while your trailering will freeze on your controls and constaintly have to be melted before use. 90# of weight on the rear and chains are NECESSARY to keep from getting stuck. You will still get stuck after you change ramp angle, add weight & chains, thaw the controls, if you get to the sight on snowy ice covered roads in over 3 in. of snow if you don't fill the rear tires withe 50% water 50% antifreeze. After trying it, I bought a 4 wheel and plow and I still hate snow work!

Like I said they are great for pushing (loose dirt) in pipe burial repairs and snow in your own drive. I considered taking off the blade and making leaf pusher for frame. I haven't give up on the idea of a WB with a V plow though. Trailering is problem though. Plus trailer deck gets real slick.

Can anyone post a pic of the DC plow or tell me where I can see one on the net?
Lynn, do you have a pic of yours?
Check out the Burkheimer Garden Equipment site. There are pictures of the Dixie Chopper 60" & 72" snow blades plus prices for both manual and electric lift. Click on Dixie Chopper, then Accesories.

Hustler's got 'em, or at least they did. At the Army base where I work they mow during the summer, and then the plow rigs go on for the winter. The operators barrel down the long, narrow stretches of sidewalk at a frightening speed. You don't see them in the parking lots, though. That's reserved for the big boys.
