Im interested in hearing the lowest doorhanger success percent that you have gotten when placing doorhangers out in the spring. Also what was the total amount of doorhangers you put out during that time. In a couple of weeks im putting out 1500 door hangers in the hopes that i will gain 6-10 accounts.

The expected number should be between 0.5 and 2%. Variables are level of competition, how effective the piece is, and demographics. What services are offered can have a fairly large effect I think.

I'm running at a 1.25% return, but I'm closing about 90% of those customers.

For 1500, I think I would target 12 to 15 new customers. I distribute them myself, so there are houses I skip, which may increase my response rate. Obviously trashed places I walk past, while a pizza parlor hanger might work at any residence.

I got a flyer today.... from a pizza joint. They said "We aren't just another Pizza Place".... but they sure looked like one to me. Same basic menu... I threw it out. I think there has to be a hook... to differentiate yourself.
