For your residential crew, what size rider do you use? 52inch or 60inch?

I am gonna use a 66", but most of the neighborhoods I am gonna advertise in are 1/3-1.5 acre yards. For the couple yards I can not used a 66 on, I will use a 21 walk behind. I hope to not get to many yards like that. If I end up getting to many small yards, I will get a 34Z.

52" stander or the 48" or 36" Scags

I currently run a 54" Ztr and a 36" wb. As soon as I can afford to do it, I will trade in my belt drive wb and get a 36" stander. I don't know if it will be a Wright, or a Gravely (34") or a JD 48" (Too big IMO for back yards with a gate)

I don't want to be using a 21" walk behind or a line trimmer in a back yard that I cannot get into with a decent sized mower. A 36" or a 34" seem to be almost necessary if you are going to target residential as a primary source of income.

Just my opinion.

If I dont need the bagger, ill use the 72" over the 60" every time.

I run a 60. However, I liked my former 48" better, was the perfect size for my residentuals. The 60 is hard to work with in a yard full of obstacles and I have to do more weedeating. If I ever replace it I am going back with nothing bigger than a 52".

I use a 52 for everything but gated back yards. For those I use a 34z

42" ztr....that's the biggest I have....and the only thing I have. :)

I use a 42. For the yards I use it on, its perfect. I will even fit through the backyard gates on most yards if I take the bagger off.

As big as I can. Usually a 60".

If my 72" will fit without too many problems I will use it. Otherwise a 60"Z or 36"Wb with flex deck (54" total):dizzy:
