I had to lay some sod today and was using my trusty old knife to cut off the excess. When I went to the truck to get a drink and strech out my back I noticed that my stick edger was in the back. I still had a strech about 80' so I thought I would try it out. This worked great, trimmed that area in less than a minute and better cut than my knife. I can not beleive I been using a knife for all these years. I know some of you are laughing at me, but if some of you are still in the stoneages like I was give this a try.:hammerhead:

I have used a stick edger for sod. It works. But sometimes you have to use a knife / machete or shovel.

Just make sure to use a brand-new blade, something about that 90-degree corner that cuts like a hot knife through butter.

We lay out an entire yard, then buzz the perimeter and flower beds as needed with the edger. All cutting is accomplished in about 5 minutes. Not to mention its a back-saver since all cutting is performed at standing height.
