I have a 70s vintage Ariens GT14 tractor. It has served me well for years as I use it to mow 1 1/2 acres and also plow driveway. It has recently lost a lot of power and the dealer says that it is probably not worth saving. The motor was rebuilt 5 years ago and now the problem appears to be the pump and/or transmission. To replace or rebuid it will cost in neighborhood of 2K. Is anyone aware of a cheaper alternative salvaging this tractor. It is really a great workhorse.
