saw some nice trucks there.
It is insane how packed the underhood compartments of the new fords with the 6.4L PS are! how can you work on something like that!
The new Dmax's arent much better and from what ive seen the new Med. Duty Dodge's have the most room underhood with the 6.7L. All in all impressive show.

sorry for the pics, they were taken on my cell phone:

Yeah I was up there on friday. The new Duramaxes arent any more crammed in there than the old ones. Those dodge 4500s and 5500s they had up there were sweet.

I was up ther last monday after it first opened up, and I have to tell you, I was hoping that chevy or GM would have been offering up some ISUZU platforms for their medium duty trucks, but was disappointed when they weren't there. I too lean towards the DODGE for a cab-chassis over ford and chevy right now.

i hadnt really gotten a chance to see the dmaxes in the chevies before this.

dodge and ford had the best showing, dodge had the best commercial presence there. ford had a few lcf's with their diesels which was pretty cool.

i don't know about leaning for the dodge, I would wait a couple of years for them to develop those lines. Ford has in my mind dominated the cab/chassis segment for years, chevy was giving them a run for the money here lately.

Hopefully ford gets there act together though. I don't mind the new truck look but there is a plant here in town that makes crane baxes, lube trucks, retro-fit trucks for mines and railroads. They say ford is the cheapest truck out there for the money but they receive so many complaints on the new diesel and after 10-20K of riding everything starts to come unglued - like rattling noises, when you shut the doors the whole cab vibrates inside, the features start to get used some they get a little sloppy, etc. These guys say they do do anything about the truck since that is the dealership problem for warrenty work. They warrenty there boxes, air compressiors, etc but that is it. They are just starting to get the new sterlin in but is that like the dodge - at least they look very much alike.

ive been told that about the dodges, to wait and see how the cabs hold up.

the sterling bullet and dodges are the same truck but it has been mentioned that the sterling is a safer bet due to the fact that the dealers know how to work on med duty trucks and larger whereas dodge dealers havent worked on anything past 3500's.

the only ford diesel id own is a 7.3L. heard horror stories about head gaskets on the 6.0's and im staying away from this crammed in, emmissions raped 6.4L. EGR cooler? i mean seriously! the gm's are $$$ but the cummins are soo nice!

i think that f550 was about 56,000 if im not mistaken?

I think your price is right on the 550 from what I can remember.

wow, that cargo system in the back is an excellent idea. is there anything aftermarket like that? that would be perfect for me separating the grass and the tools.
