I got mine from a distributor in Jersey. I believe I paid around $300 or so. Call Novae corp. They should deal with you directly. I buy all replacement parts from them. You can't go wrong with the ProSlide!

I think mine was at or near $300.00. It's a good piece of equipment and worth having. Just get a few extra deck springs when you buy. I break a deck spring about twice a year.

Check a few differant places and try direct. We have one dealer here that has them for $375 and another that has them for $290 only 15 min away from the first.

My only question is for those of us pushing 250 prior to Turkey Day is this a suitable app for those of us that are just like the dungarees said "Husky".

Kris,
I go 220 and the 15hp Kohler 1 lunger yanks me around behind the Toro w/ no problem most of the time. The extra compaction that I cause results in aeration jobs so ya can't lose.:p

Kris...I see no problem...I don't go that high ;), but my mower doesn't even bog...it slides...not drags...can you ride a sled down a hill in snow? If so, then your mower can pull you.

I paid $275 from my dealer. I contacted Novae directly, and they will sell you the unit directly, but at list price. Novae told me that any dealer that carries Husky equipment can get the unit for you. I told my dealer that he could get me one, and sure enough it was in his order book for Husvarna equipment. He did not know he could get the unit. As for girth,I go about 230# and have not broken any springs this year.

I've only seen a Proslide onece, at the Kentucky Expo. Since I've never seen one in use (let alone had the opportunity to use one), does it just drag on the ground? If so doesn't it mess up the turf at all, why or how?

Greg,
It does not mess up the turf at all.. Yes it kind a slides along the ground.. It is made of a kevlar, ( I think ) skid pad with a diamond plate top for footing... I am very happy with it.. I have mounting brakets on both of my walk behinds for it ( it's only me so I dont need two of them yet LOL) So I can switch it from machine to machine. Well worth the investment..

The Proslide is a great piece of equipment. I have two for each of my walkbehinds.
I break a spring about every month. It's always the left spring that breaks, on both the Proslides. I do have a lot of small properties, and have to step off and on the 'slide frequently, so that probably explains why I'm breaking springs so often.
