Toro Walkbehind 37" Belt Drive

I have an older (94) 37" Toro Proline Walkbehind, Belt Drive mower. Last year it starting giving me problems climbing hills. The mower pulls fine on flat ground, but when you start uphill it does not continue to pull, sometimes having to be pushed to continue. I have replaced the outside drive belts, but that did not help. I was wondering if there is some adjustment somewhere that can be done to make the mower climb hills better? What could the problem be, that is preventing the mower from pulling uphill?

Have you checked/adjusted/replaced the trans drive belt under the unit ?

Mine is a '93 t-bar 44. Replaced the belt four years ago, but adjustment would not do it anymore. Replaced the tranny belt this winter and that solved the problem.
