mulch job

[1999frontier]

I have this cutomer thats wants me to put down some mulch in existing beds. One bed has a border already (brick) the other is just a regular bed. I will need to put a deep edge around before installing mulch. I can use a shovel for this correct?

I need a total of 7 yards of mulch. I called around yesterday to find out prices of mulch and they were as follows:

$2.25 per 2cu/ft bag or if I buy more than 70 bags it will be $2.00 per bag

$28 per yard bulk (dark brown)or
$2.25 per 2cu/ft bags. Not sure if they will sell for $2.00 per bag like other place if over 70 bags.

I figure at 2" thick, I will need 95 bags of mulch. Nursery is 9 miles away or 18 miles round trip. Can someone help me out with price?

Hey 1999frontier I dont know about N.C. but up here in jersey we charge 60-65 dollars a yard Installed that includes edging mulch and labor. I hope this helps you.

It looks like your price for mulch comes out to $27.50 per yard. I would say it about 4-5 Hours for one man, depending how far you have to move it. Then you have to add in your time to do the edging. You didn't state how many feet of edging. I would say in the $425-475, depending on the stated conditions

In Baltimore I charge $90-100 a yard I do know a lot of landscaper charge more even heard of up $175 a yard and some jacklegers charge $50 -60 a yard

been using the suburban for 12 years never a break down and never had anything stolen its a 3/4 ton heavy duty and will pull anything

I use a 2000 Chevy Suburban too . Soccer moms love it . 200k and still going

my suburban is an 87 bought it off an old customer that had it to tow a travel trailer so it was factory set for towing with a great hitch and brake set up. The best part was bought it in 2002 it only had 60,000 miles on it and he had really taken care of it.

Shovels fine to bed edge, we get 55-75 per yard this includes the labor to bed edge. Price varies with travel distance and difficulty factor.
