I applied 2 days ago and got a huge CL. Do they send you a card or is it only used on the Dell web site to make purchases? Whats with the lease buy out option, anyone use it or is buying the way to go?

no they sent us a bill and then how much more credit you have with them. we got approved 4 years ago for a inspiron 6000 had like a 10k credit line. pretty good as it was our first lease ever.

since then we have been buying our computers at rent a center. i have a friend who works there and we get amazing deals, although they are used they still are great pc. first one i bought there was $300 HP had it for 4 years still runs, just slow.

getting a laptop there in a week or so, DELL 6000 for $400 only a year old or so, only thing is you gotta make sure you restore it fully in case of child porn on it or whatever. i read online that some guy bought one from RAC and had child porn on and didnt know and went to jail, didnt know what happened.

Do yourself a favor, sir. You can buy NEW and BETTER computers for the same money you're paying for RAC's used (up) ones. Check it out!

I would have to agree. Buying a used computer from RAC = bending over and grabbing your ankles.:cry:

I used to build my own computers. Now I buy from Dell. It would cost me more to build than what I could buy from Dell for.

If you are going to buy a used computer, at least do yourself a favor and go to somone who SPECIALIZES in computers.

Yeah kind of steep, 17.99 var. for me. I never did buy anything, just thought I'd apply and see what they'd give for CL (got approved for 25K). The only time I think I'd do it if they offered 0%.

Having worked for Dell in the past in Sales, keep in mind with foreclosures on the rise and needing to keep sales up, financing options for lower priced items (lower than houses) most likely will be on the rise.

Shop the deals on the website, or call and play hardball as if you don't want to pay that much, but need everything you asked for. If they offer financing, which they will from the start of the call, it's entirely up to you. But unless you have pretty credit you'll get spanked on interest. But then again, if you've got pretty credit you should be paying cash for a Dell now shouldn't you? See how they......GETCHA!
