I have a customer I cut his yard last year and charged 50 a week.

He wants me to come in and scalp his yard. Its kinda bushes right now and he wants it bagged. Its going to take a 3 or 4 times longer just because its going to be cut and stop ever 20 feet.

What do you guys do in this situation. I'm not going to charge him 150-200 dollars to cut his qt. acre lot. What would yall charge or how do you handle it.

Thanks guys
Tim

Welcome to some of our worlds were you only bag.

I'm jealous you only have this problem with one client.

I guess I don't understand! If you maintained this prop last year, then why is it so overgrown? Will you be maintaining it this year? I would try to figure out how long it will take you and charge your hourly rate

For example:

If your hourly rate is $45 and it will take you approx. 3 hrs. $45 x 3 = $135

If this is a one-timer, then don't be afraid to charge $200!

If it's bogging your mower down you could cut it several times at lower and lower heights.

I guess my price is a bit low looking at the above responces, I charge double what a mowing would run.
