I just talked to my dealer yesterday about a new Z. The regional distributor has a special on a 62" Toro Z w/ 27 hp liquid cooled Kaw, and deluxe seat for $8,699. They are also including a Toro snow blower.
This machine fits what I anticipate needing for next season.
This dealer is my best, most convenient dealer and provides great service.
Opinions on machine, price, the liquid cooled Kaw would be appreciated.
An additional bonus is that they are offering no payment, no interest financing till May, 2002.
Another plus, if I take delivery prior to 12/31, I will be able to write it off totally in 2001 by using the Section 179 expense election.
What do you think?
Bruce sounds like a pretty good deal to me, In 2000 i purchased a new Z-Master 62" with 25hp Kohler and have been very happy with it,i paid right at 8ks for mine with the deluxe seat, so around my area that would be a steal. Marks Mowing Service

Exmark Lazer 60" EPS has a similer deal. $8,300.
Air cooled EFI, cause I don't like H2O cooled. No snow thingamabober.
Plus you could put a Peco Vac on it for leaves.

Sounds like a great deal to me :blob3: I paid 8,500 for my 60" 23hp lc lazer, with the nice seat, 27hp engine and the snow blower your defintly getting a good deal, especially if the dealer is good too. I'd go for it.

JUMP JUMP on it the snow blowe alone from Radd is $2990.00 Toro itself doesnt have a snow blower only for there Z355 front mount, Radd industries out of Florida does the dozer blades, hitch kit and snowblowers. Did I tell you to jump on it? Tell me where to go we are gonna demo the Radd blower as soon as we get snow but at almost 3k I will probly get one for one of our Walkers at 1/3 of the cost. Landscaper3,
Not as good as you assume, the snow blower is a separate walk behind unit, probably 4-600 retail. This isn't a unit that mounts on the Z.

I don't need a snow blower in the south, so I'd want a vac and a little less price. 27 horse kaw is great engine, sounds like a great deal on financing, but look out for the interest rate. that no payment and no interest for 6 may be a hidden 17% rate on the remainder. Hustlers no payment no interest 6 month deal at 17% is much worse that regular 7% financing. dave g

BRUCES Look below
Landscaper3,
Not as good as you assume, the snow blower is a separate walk behind unit, probably 4-600 retail. This isn't a unit that mounts on the Z. It is on the front of the Z-Masters. Look at Radd's web site or Toro's web site on Zmasters and 3rd party attachments, ITS not a walkbehind its a $3k snowblower!!

Landscaper3,
What I was saying was that the snow blower included in the package deal is a small snow blower.
Its an ok homeowner unit, but nothing to make or break the deal.
The unit you are talking about sounds great if you are doing snow removal.

Section 179 is $20,000.00
You can write the whole thing off.

Actually, the limit is 24,000 this year, and yes, that is a major consideration in the purchase before the end of the year.
