Not even close. The truck is 12yrs. old. Yes it's in good shape and miles aren't bad for the year but I'd be reluctant to pay $10k. Especially with diesel at $4 per gallon. I love diesels, but do yourself a favor and buy gas.

NO WAY!! $8-9k at most, even in that condition. And diesel is pricy.

I'd give 15K for that truck in a heartbeat. you guys must not realize how rare those pickups are. A dealer buddy of mine just sold a 97 like that, not a good of shape with 198K for $9500. I've been looking for a truck like that forever, I'd get rid of my super duty so fast to get a truck like that. There was another one i just saw sell for 11,500 with 211k. Those trucks are hot. If you don't buy that I would like to get some contact info for it.

Man that is one gorgeous truck! but yeh still a little high since its so old. I bought my 97 f-250 back in 2001 for 15,900...I would give at most 11,000 for it. Very good lookin truck tho. Id kill for one of those crew cab short beds. they didnt make very many of em.

That is a little on the high side but it is a clean truck. You can never tell by pictures you see it in person then make the judgement.

Crew cabs are not really rare in B.C. the loggers buy thousands of them. At a auction coming next month there will be something like 30 F-350 crewcabs ranging from 99 to 2004 and half of them are diesels.

That truck posted if I was in the market I would pay 13 at most.

Oh ya diesel fuel here is 4.55 dollars a gallon so quit squaking about paying 4 dollars a gallon. This summer it should be up to 5 dollars.

You could probably find a late model ford gasser for less than that with much lower miles. I paid right around 9k for my 2000 SD PS dually with 94k on it and it was just as clean as that. I saw the titel to thread and immediately thought it was a rip off. No matter how good it looks, it still has 128k on it and is 12 y/o. If you are stuck on that body style look around more. I see tons of those for sale around here.

i guess i must be nuts or rich cuz i would give over $20,000 for that truck. you cant find em like that and if u are lucky to find one dont worry about the price think about the truck. its one of the most bullet proof trucks out thier will drive an easy 300,000 miles. if i had the money i would buy that in a heart beat. oh and diesel is now $4.67 here going up by the minute, i will continue to drive diesel trucks and count my losses i just love the power:cool2:

Are you going to use it for work? Or to drive?

I don't buy nice trucks to work with or do concrete.

I buy nice trucks for me. I tow a lot. But, concrete doesn't usually get splashed on my truck. I also don't throw or drag stuff across the bed rails of my truck.

That Ranch Hand Bumper package is around $6000 new. I know, I have one of those on my 1998 Dually. My has the headache Rack and bed Rails too. Weighs a ton though.

You can buy one of those in lesser condition for $8000 to 9000.

not that the OP ASKED for our opinions, but I'd say that s a bit high for my area too....esp for a short bed

10-11k seems right around here...maybe not so clean though...looks good

nice clean truck but for $16k you can go buy a 2003 truck of the same standards

The fact that it is a short bed is what makes it so rare/worth more. The crew cab long beds are a dime a dozen around here, but to find a crew short bed 4x4 is really tough, and they bring a pretty penny. I've been looking at a 97 with 208K, body is good except for a great big gaping gash in the left side of the bed, $6000 asking price. The more i think about it I dont know if I'd give 15, but I wouldnt' hesitate to pay 14k for that truck. I'd feel a lot better buying that for even 15K than buying an 03 or 04 6.0 for 22+K and not knowing if/when it's gonna cost me a bunch more money just to keep it goin.

Im sure he will come down to $14k it not I would walk. It is a very nice truck althought I don't have any personal experience with that motor I have a 96 F-250 but with the 351 gasser and I beat the piss out of it as it is an extra truck and its still running great and from what I hear that 7.3L diesel is bulletproof.

I'll bet he gets close really close to his asking price. It's extremely hard to find a CC short bed OBS truck that's that clean.

See what the bank will loan, and see if it's such a good deal. I don't care if it is hard to find or it's rare, look how old it is.

I agree its a piece of equipment with a determined life expectancy. You should never fall in love with equipment. It is a nice truck.

First, that is a nice truck, and those Fords are good trucks, but if you were to buy that thing then have a major problem like, motor/tranny or both, that could turn into a $20,000 or more truck that is 12 years old and has 130k miles. If I was a bank I would not want to give a loan for that truck, and I think an insurance company would have a hard time giving you 15k if it got totaled. For a little more you could get a brand new truck with a great warranty and low financing, Trucks are already bad investments, let alone overpriced one's. And I guarantee the price would be to high for some of you that thought it is a good deal if it din't have the wheels, tires, and bumper's

Nice truck, overpriced, crew cab/short bed or not. Trucks here are overpriced beyond belief and that truck wouldn't fetch more than $11K 'round these parts.

wow, thats a sick truck, wicked clean inside and the exterior looks flawless I want that truck, I have a 1995 f150 and I thought mine was clean, those truck are great and thats a perfect example of one. I would pay 12k for it at the most.

That' way too high for a 12 yr. old truck. 128,000 miles isn't exactly low mileage in my book either-the truck still has the miles on it.

I just remembered seeing one just like you're describing lasr yr. that was in immaculate condition for around $10,000 and that's about what it's worth.
