Looking to find anything I can about this machine.
Mod# LHP4818KC - Ser# 171687
Considering buying it from a local dealer. Has less then 500hrs on it and looks to be in top shape. They are asking 3000.00 for it. Has an 18 or 19 hp Kohler with a 48" deck. Can anyone give me some insight on it? Good price, Good Machine, Any known Problems or things to look for? Thanks in advance for your help!!!

I've been in the business for 28 years and have used just about every brand of machine on the market. I've had a Hustler 1500 and 3200, a Scag, A Ferris IS4000,and three Exmarks. I've had two liquid cooled Exmarks-60" and 72." I currently own a 48", 19Kawa. To me, Exmark is the only brand out there, with the most support-company support is everything. I learned the hard way with Ferris-not a good lesson on a $13,000 machine. The price on the mower you're looking at sounds fair with 500hrs. It will be bullet proof and with a blade tip speed of 18,500-19,000, it'll give you a smooth cut. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, I forgot to add that this mower is 10yrs old. Still a good buy?

I'd check with another dealer that sells Exmarks and ask them what the bluebook value is on that mower and also find out what it cost new 10 yrs. ago. I didn't realize it was 10 yrs old. I would negotiate the price-after all, it is still 10 yrs old. I paid $6499 fo my new one with no payments for 6 mos.and 1.9% interest + it has a full warranty.
