How many of you do cemeteries in your lawn business? How do you go about bidding? Obviously the size and time is calculated, but with all the headstones and such, how do you figure your price? It is similar to having a large lawn with a bunch of trees? Or are cemeteries something you try to stay away from?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I JUST BID ON ONE THE WAY I DID IT I WALKED OUT A CLUSTER OF TOMBSTONES AS IF I WAS WEED WACKING AND TIMED IT. CALCULATED HOW MANY MOWERS TO CUT SQ FT PER HOUR ADDING TOME FOR TREES ETC. AND THEN THE FINAL BLOW OFF AND CALCULATED THAT AND ADDED 20MIN TO EACH PROCESS TO PLAY IT SAFE. THE FINISH WAS 3 MEN WEEDWACKING FOR 2.5-3HRS 3 MOWERS 1 60" 152" 1 36 ZTR RIDERS EXCEPT FOR THE 36 2.5 HRS THEN 30 MIN BLOW OFF. THE PRICE WAS $950 ALSO CONSIDERING IF I WEEDWACK WELL I DONT HAVE TO DO IT EVERY TIME. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS RESONABLE TO BE HONEST, AND I AM SKEPTICAL ABOUT DOING IT BECAUSE IT IS A LOT OF WORK AND DONT WANNA HAVE ANY GUY BANG INTO GRANITE TOMBSTONES.:weightlifter::weightlifter::weightlifter:

never bid on one, don't think I would either, although I would like more accounts where the customers could not complain....

I do an 18 acre and a 23 acre cemetary. Very good money and good work!

If I didn't have a PG (boomless sprayer)....I wouldn't even try to spray a cemetary!

With booms you will be hitting everything and won't be able to get very close.

With a PG....you just angle your nozzle up on a 45 degree angle and you can get about a 12-13 ft pattern. The stones in our cemetaries are 12 ft apart so this works awesome!

Also, make sure that they sign a waiver to where you are not liable for any damages to any flowers by the stones.
