Hi guys, I was pricing a job yesterday and the potential client for some reason suggested I advertise on craigs list. Has anyone done this? I have looked for things on it but never for a service provider. I wonder if anyone has gotten any calls from it?
Thanks for your time guys and have a great weekend.

I have done it and haven't gotten any work from it. BUT....it will put your name high up on the search engines. It can't hurt to put up a free ad, although most on here say that mainly scrubs post on craigslist.

I am surprised but I will look into it. To be honest I kind of had the impression that it was a scrubs thing. Maybe I have to start looking in the right sections:dancing:

Guys have asked me why I advertise on craigslist and its this simple: I get good accounts every year from the site and its free. I just signed up a $6,000 pre paid account from craigslist. I would go for it if I were you. Good luck!

Do it!! I get more calls from craigslist than my yellow page ad. Go figure and it's FREE. You will get some price shoppers but I have also landed some good annual contract accounts from it.

Just sold my harley davidson today on craigslist...sad to see it go but the cash flow will help with establishing my business this year. Then when i get big like you guys i will be buying my "new" Ultra electra glide! I also advertise on craigslist but only got one call from the add but the lady was to far away!

I got a few small snow plowing contracts off it this winter. Those free "scrub" ads brought me in about $5-600. Not bad for the 5 min it took to post a free ad.

I am gonna start putting lawn care adds up on craigslist on monday.

although most on here say that mainly scrubs post on craigslist.

Which, if a customer suggested this would make me wonder as well.

But, the way the economy is going I just might be ready for it
All it takes is a money shortage wow I can be so reasonable LOL.

Craigs list usually attracts bottom feeders in the service industry.

I do it get good results again better then phone book. Its free why not. I see more and more dealers using the site as well. Post ever 7 or so days to keep it at the top.
