At the expo 3 or 4 years ago there was a guy there from Grand Rapids who had mounted an impeller to the back of his ztr to disperse the clippings . He also mounted his backpack on his w/b which did the same. Great Ideas. Does anyone do this . Is he still building them?

The back-pack ones didn't work too well.

The big ones worked well, but nobody (that had them) uses them anymore.

We used to have something like that years ago before they were on the market and they worked pretty well. I think the advent of better blades and mulching kits kinda took the place.

They're not sold anymore, if that tells you anything.

Get a ZTR, run doubles, cut it 2X= never worry about it again.

That's what I like about the Lazers. They have one built right in.:)

When I worked for a LC we had one (the big ones) on a Lazer. On a BIG (and I do mean big) open area it was awsome. It would launch the clippings way up in the air and all over. The problem came in when you got close to a building and the mow-blow would through clippings twice as far (if not farther) than the mower alone. It did eliminate any double cutting on them wide areas though.
